New restaurant comes to Holt

Next to 7/11 in Holt a new restaurant called Sticky’s has opened the doors.

From an auto parts shop to a restaurant, the new place called Sticky’s has opened. The 3,000-square-foot building is now a little breakfast place and 1,500-square-feet is the dining area. Opened their doors on October 6th at 9:00 am.

According to their website, Business partner Claude Card, Adam Friedrich, and Troy Howard thought that Holt needed a breakfast place. They started only catering at private events when they decided to create a restaurant with breakfast foods and comfort foods while keeping it healthy. They use local environmentally friendly ingredients when making their food. All spoons, forks, and knives are recyclable.

When I walked into the door I was amazed at how they work in there with such a small area. I thought it was to be like another little restaurant like Flapjack, I was wrong. I was very happy that it only took a few minutes to get my food out and was fresh and ready to eat.

When I received my food it was very hot. It was also sticky. I order the S’Mores waffle which is one waffle on the bottom with marshmallow fluff in the middle, one waffle on top then served with melted chocolate drizzled on top and coming down the side and crushed graham cracker sprinkled on top, served with a side of waffle fries. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good comfort food from a small place. I think it's a very family-friendly place to have a good breakfast.

There normal hours are Tuesday- Friday 6:00am-3:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-3:00pm. They are located at 1967 N Aurelius Rd, next to Zaytoons.
