Toomey’s Craft Corner is back and ready to help just in time for Valentine's Day! Follow along with this step by step guide on how to make the perfect cootie catcher filled with heartfelt notes for that special someone.

Materials: One piece of paper, four different colored markers, a writing utensil.

Step 1: Fold one corner of the paper to meet the opposite edge to form a triangle and cut off the excess paper.

Step 2: Take the square of paper and fold opposite corners toward each other to make two diagonal line folds across the square.

Step 3: Use the diagonal lines as a guide to fold in each corner, bringing the corner to the center of the square (repeat for all four corners).

Step 4: Flip the paper around so the triangles you just folded are faced down on the table. Then fold the corners backward toward the middle of the square (repeat for all four corners).

Step 5: Write the numbers 1-8 on each of the triangles.

Step 6: Fill in the underside of the triangles with messages for your significant other.

Step 7: Flip the paper so the triangle folds you just made are face down. Decorate the four corners with hearts or anything of your choice.

Step 8: Fold in half and pop the corners so it stands up
